Lolz! MTN Plans To Increase Tariffs In Ghana Due To Poor Power Supply!

According to reports from Ghana, Telecommunication Giant MTN is considering to increase it’s tariffs due to high of operational cost caused by the ongoing erratic power supply in Ghana.

The company stated that fuel, electricity and others have been increased to over 37% and 45%, hence they will consider increasing prices of their services if poor supply of electricity continues in the country.

The Corporate Services Executive of MTN Ghana, Cynthia Lumar told Citi News that:

“The current business atmosphere is a difficult time for all of us, but for a leader like
MTN, we cannot afford deprive customers of the 24 hour quality voice and data services because of ‘dumsor.”

Cynthia however stated that the company may consider other things before they think of taking such action.
